Transforming lives through faith, education, and sustainable development since 1997
The T.O.U.C.H. Haiti project began in 1997 as a heartfelt response to the needs of the Haitian community. What started as a simple outreach effort has grown into a comprehensive mission dedicated to bringing transformative change to the people of Haiti through faith, education, and sustainable development.
Our primary mission is to bring the Word of God to the Haitian people, sharing the message of hope, love, and salvation. We believe that spiritual transformation is the foundation upon which all other positive change is built. Through Bible studies, worship services, and personal discipleship, we seek to strengthen the faith of individuals and communities across Haiti.
Our secondary mission is to build sustainable systems that will outlive our in-person efforts. We recognize that true, lasting change comes not from temporary aid, but from empowering people to provide for themselves and their communities. This means creating educational opportunities, establishing food security programs, and providing resources that enable Haitians to use their God-given talents to create lasting change in their own communities.
We believe that the only way to create lasting change is to teach people how to provide for themselves first and foremost. Rather than creating dependency, we focus on empowerment. Our approach recognizes that every person has been created in the image of God with unique talents, abilities, and potential.
When we allow people to discover and develop their God-given talents, they become agents of transformation in their own communities. This creates a ripple effect that extends far beyond what any external organization could achieve. We see our role as facilitators and partners, walking alongside the Haitian people as they build a better future for themselves and their children.
This philosophy is reflected in everything we do. Whether we're teaching agricultural techniques, providing educational resources, or sharing the Gospel, our goal is always the same: to empower people to leave God's fingerprint on their own communities, creating a legacy of faith, hope, and self-sufficiency that will endure for generations to come.
Comprehensive initiatives designed to create sustainable, lasting change
We provide educational resources, support schools, and offer training programs that equip Haitians with the knowledge and skills they need to build better lives. From literacy programs to vocational training, we believe education is a cornerstone of sustainable development.
Through agricultural training and food distribution programs, we work to ensure that families have access to nutritious meals. We teach sustainable farming practices that help communities become self-sufficient in food production.
Our faith-based programs include Bible studies, worship services, discipleship training, and community prayer groups. We believe that spiritual growth provides the foundation for all other forms of transformation.
We provide essential resources including medical supplies, clean water initiatives, and infrastructure support. These resources are distributed in ways that build community capacity rather than creating dependency.
Our development programs focus on creating systems that will continue to benefit communities long after our direct involvement. This includes training local leaders, establishing self-sustaining projects, and building partnerships within Haitian communities.
At the heart of all our programs is the goal of empowering individuals and communities. We help people discover their God-given talents and provide opportunities for them to use those talents to make a positive impact in their communities.
Since 1997, T.O.U.C.H. Haiti has been making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless Haitians. While we measure our success not just in numbers, but in transformed lives and empowered communities, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve.
Our impact extends beyond immediate assistance to long-term transformation. We've seen individuals discover their calling, families become self-sufficient, and communities come together to create positive change. The seeds we plant today—whether through education, faith, or sustainable development—continue to bear fruit for years to come.
Perhaps our greatest achievement is the network of empowered leaders and community members who are now carrying forward the mission of transformation in their own neighborhoods. These individuals, equipped with faith, knowledge, and resources, are creating a legacy that will outlive any single program or initiative.
Every person we serve, every skill we teach, and every relationship we build contributes to a larger vision: a Haiti where communities are self-sufficient, faith is strong, and hope abounds. This vision drives us forward, and we are honored to be part of this transformative work.
